What is Mudpuddles?

Mudpuddles is an independent, locally owned toy store in Ann Arbor's Kerrytown district. It's been a place for kids since 1994. Mudpuddles started as the children's corner of the Marsh and Fields nature shop and grew into a full toy store. Today it's run by Jan and Aiden and is proudly LGBTQ-owned.

What kind of toys does Mudpuddles carry?

Mudpuddles focuses on hands-on, imagination-building play: mostly "kid-powered" toys rather than screens. You'll find games, puzzles, books, arts and crafts, science and STEM kits, LEGO, pretend play, plush, and toys for babies and toddlers. Mudpuddles works with more than 200 vendors, many of them small businesses.

Can Mudpuddles help me pick out a gift?

Mudpuddles is on the second floor of the Kerrytown Market & Shops building at 407 N 5th Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

Holiday hours start Friday, November 27:

Where should I park to visit Mudpuddles?

There's street parking around Kerrytown, plus the Farmers Market lot next door. There's also a lot at Ann and Ashley, where a painted sidewalk mural leads the way to Kerrytown.

Is Mudpuddles accessible for strollers and wheelchairs?

Yes. Mudpuddles is on the second floor, and an elevator goes right up. The shop has two levels. The main floor is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly. Six steps lead up to pretend play, arts and crafts, books, puzzles, games and education, and staff are always happy to bring anything down to you. You can also park strollers in the hallway right outside the entrance.

Gifts, Gift Cards + Gift Wrap

Does Mudpuddles gift wrap?

Yes, gift wrapping at Mudpuddles is free year-round, except during the busy holiday season. Our space is small, so we pause gift wrapping from November 1 through the end of December. Free gift wrap returns in January.

Does Mudpuddles sell gift cards?

Yes! Mudpuddles gift cards are available in the shop and online.

Can Mudpuddles ship a gift directly to someone?

Yes. Mudpuddles can ship a gift straight to the recipient with a personalized note. Just add the note and their address when you order.

Ordering, Pickup + Local Delivery

Can I order from Mudpuddles over the phone?

Yes. Call Mudpuddles at (734) 662-0022 during shop hours and the staff will take your order.

Can I pick up my online order at Mudpuddles?

Yes! In-store pickup at the Kerrytown shop is free. Choose it at checkout, and we'll let you know when your order is ready.

Does Mudpuddles offer local delivery?

Yes. Mudpuddles delivers within 10 miles of the Kerrytown shop for $5, with a $20 minimum order. Choose local delivery at checkout.

Why can't I find something online that I saw at Mudpuddles?

The Mudpuddles website shows only what's in stock and ready to go, and the shop carries a lot more. Call (734) 662-0022 and the staff will help you track it down.

Shipping

Where does Mudpuddles ship?

Mudpuddles ships to the 48 contiguous United States. We don't currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories or international addresses.

How soon will my Mudpuddles order ship?

Orders ship within 3–5 business days. Orders placed after 4pm are processed the next business day.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order and location.

How do I track my order?

You'll get an email with your tracking number as soon as your order ships.

My package is late. What should I do?

Delivery times depend on the carrier, so check with them first. If your order is significantly delayed, email orders@mudpuddlesa2.com with your order number in the subject line.

Returns

What is Mudpuddles' return policy?

Mudpuddles accepts returns within 30 days of purchase, or within 30 days of receiving an online order. Items must be unused, in their original packaging and in resalable condition.

How do I return an online order?

Bring your order email or order number to the shop in Kerrytown, or mail it to: Mudpuddles, ATTN: Returns, 407 N 5th Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item was defective or incorrect.

Will I get a refund or store credit?

With a receipt, we refund your original form of payment. Online orders returned in the shop can receive store credit or a refund. Returns without a receipt receive store credit only.

My item arrived damaged or wrong. What now?

Mudpuddles Rewards

How does the Mudpuddles rewards program work?

Earn 1 point for every $1 you spend. Every 200 points gets you $10 in store credit.

How else can I earn points?

You'll get 50 points just for joining, 100 points on your birthday, and 10 points each for following Mudpuddles on Instagram, liking us on Facebook and writing a review.
